Beat the Bird and other Holiday Treats – Stay Lean!!!

Hello Friends and Welcome Back. In this short post today, I am adding a video component to the Facebook post I had earlier, about how to Enjoy your Holiday Indulgences without the accompanying guilt. You can check that Post out, right here.

Did you know that: The average American will consume 4,500 calories and 229 grams of fat at Thanksgiving, according to new research from the Calorie Control Council.

This doesn’t have to be a Get Fatter Sentence and the Tums won’t necessarily be needed if you take a few precautions first and consider these tips

Here are the Guidelines and Please, Keep it Simple

  • #1 – Place 5 minutes on a timer/clock/iphone interval app etc
  • #2 – Do 20 seconds of High Intensity Work (Kettlebell swings, Mountain Climbers, Squat Thrusts, Towel Swipes etc.) followed by 10seconds of rest
  • #3 – You will do 2 sets per minute, for 10 total sets over that 5 minute period
  • #4 – BREATHE – through the nose, out the mouth
  • #5 – Enjoy your Holiday and do not stress. That stress will cost more harm in adrenaline and cortisol dumps, than the meal you are about to eat
  • #6 – Keep drinking a lot of water and avoid some extra calories that come with soda and unnecessary fillers
  • #7 – BONUS – If you still feel guilty, Go for a 20-30 minute Brisk walk or Throw the Football after dinner, to keep that meal passing on through
