There were so many times in my past where I would ‘hide’ or ‘tamp down’ my passion, in order to placate others, for fear of them not liking or accepting me.
In fact, most of my early life, until my mid-twenties, I was anything BUT me …
After losing my brother in October 2007 and my cousin in October 2008 – who I thought I was, was ripped from me …
I relied on them for my strength.
They ‘propped up’ my ego.
And it wasn’t until they were gone … when I had to face myself.
Finally, I made the decision to get off all my anti-depressant meds, stop taking illegal drugs to numb me out, and went to work on who John was AND what John wanted.
It was scary.
It was hard.
It was lonely.
And I pushed it as far away as I could at times.
Until it manifested itself in other ways.
And eventually, I started to figure out that being me, was exactly what this world needed.
A John who was ’emotionally free,’ with a body that was ‘not a limiting factor’ and willing to say the things that needed to be said, even if we don’t like it.
That’s what I want for you … because that’s what we do here at Bair Knuckle Strength.
We want to see the REAL you!!!
