Feeling Stuck?

Do you ever get into a ‘funk’ or ‘haze’ of sorts?

It can feel like you’re stuck and don’t know which direction to head.

I was there recently.

The better part of the last 2 weeks, in fact.

For a few days I really didn’t ‘feel like me’.

I was irritable, had some hip pain, not sleeping well and just overall less happy … sad even.

I’ve had similar bouts of this ’emotional black hole’ before, and was able to draw from past experiences, as I dealt with this most recent iteration.

You see, we will always have problems.

We will always have a need to solve those problems.

So, let’s work on getting better problems 😉

If you haven’t solved a particular problem, or, the problem you have seems ‘way out of control’ … that can create more (insert – depression/anxiety/etc …)

However, all our problems stem from ‘using the wrong lens’.

How we view it, creates the problem.

So, if we change the lens, and look at it from a different perspective, you’ll notice that the problem hasn’t gone away, you just now have the ‘better problem’ of solving the aforementioned ‘dirty lens problem’ with a ‘clear lens solution’.

In other words, when you change what you look at, what you look at changes.

I felt so tired, listless and down because I was still looking at ‘what was next’ on my calendar, and had overlooked the golden rule ‘You’re only as good as what you can recover from’.

The months leading up to this, I had been going pretty hard, in a sprint, if you will, in order to get my book finished, printed, distributed, etc… along with running my business, being a good partner, and a good person.

I was burning all my ‘midnight oil’, without replenishing much …

So, these past few weeks, I’ve backed off most extra-curricular business activities, been a little quieter online, and ONLY gotten done what was needed to keep my business running, and moving forward.

The rest of the time, I’ve been resting, healing, and taking care of me.

And you know what … I don’t feel stuck, or in a funk anymore.
