$185,000 Back Surgery

I’d like to Thank You for reading these emails, truly, it means so much to me.

Not just because I’m an amazing writer (*wink) but because this is one of the ways I can connect with you, and others you care about, to share my experiences about what has helped me bounce back.

This is very important to me, because I don’t write these for my health, lol … ok, I kinda do a little … but mostly for you 😉

You see, just over a year ago, a nice woman came into our facility and tried a few classes to see what we were all about.

She really liked it, and wanted her ‘fella’ to come as well.

Unfortunately, as life tends to do, they weren’t able to make that happen right then and there.

Mom duties can be tough to navigate, when you need to get your kids to and fro … etc.

As for the fella, she shared our website with him and he opted-in to our newsletter last year when she did.

He started reading, however, he had some issues with his back and to make a long story short, he had to have Back Surgery.

About a month ago, I got a reply to one of my emails I send out, like this one, and this gentleman asked me if we could connect and discuss options for training for him.

We scheduled a call, and after getting on the call I realized who he was because his girlfriend had told me about him, and she was also on the call.

He said “John, I’ve been reading your marketing materials for awhile now and I can tell you’re not your average, everyday ‘mothers trainer’.”

It was cool to hear, but even cooler to hear that he really was receptive to proper strength training, because he had been in so much pain.

People who are in that much pain, do there homework to find the best match for them.

We tend to match best with folks who are ‘over the fitness/cardio craze’ because they aren’t getting results, or they’re getting injured, and now they just want to feel and be healthy.

We get you healthy AND strong.

After telling them that the first step was to understand what they needed, and then what their bodies needed by assessing those in our complimentary success session, they came in, sat down with me and gave me their wish list along with injury history, the full details.

Then we went through a full movement assessment as well and after that session, they asked how to take the next step, Wanting to do a semi-private session 2 times each week.

We set up a time and have been working together now for a few weeks.

Yesterday morning I was working with the gentleman on his technique and was cueing him as to which muscles he should be feeling around his back.

I said “let’s keep this back healthy.”

To which he said, “Yea, it’s a $185,000 back.”

If you’re looking to stay away from that kind of surgery, or bounce back from it afterwards, we’ve got your back 😉

P.S. Here are 4 more ways you can become happier and healthier:

1. Podcasts

Some of the greatest insights and healing for me, have come from listening to podcasts in the last few years. This long-form type of communication, I’ve found, has been extremely important for understanding context, while learning how to make sustainable change.

That’s why I have started to find ways to get our story on some podcasts, and give you an opportunity to really go deep with us, and see what we’re all about. That way, you can decide if this tribe fits your personality. Click the link below to go to our podcast page, where you can find all our episodes!

Rise is the story of ‘never feeling powerful … to … never feeling powerless’. It’s about John Bair’s life, why he does what he does and how his suffering created happiness.

This handwritten book takes you through an intimate, yet, self-revealing journey, which allows you to implant yourself into the story, as it relates to your own, and reveal the steps you’ll need to take, in order to make change a successful reality.
