Indecision Paradox

Is it hard to make decisions for you?

I know I have had trouble and definitely still do sometimes – a work in progress 🙂

The skill of decision making is not taught to us in schools, but it’s quite important …

The world may forgive you for making a mistake, however, life will not forgive the failure to make a decision.

In Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, he found that the most successful people in history made decisions very quickly, and changed them very slowly, if they ever changed at all.

However, many of us ‘regular folk’ get paralyzed by indecision … usually out of fear like making a mistake or upsetting someone, even though the decision would bring us joy if we knew what would happen if we made it …

Here’s the interesting paradox …

  • Indecision actually wastes more time than it saves
  • Indecision provides no new data
  • We think indecision is taking action when in reality it’s inaction
  • Inaction eliminates the possibility of life responding and creating for us
  • The right decision isn’t produced through conscious thought
  • But the wrong decision is INDECISION

Here are some things I’ve learned about making decisions, and you can use them as affirmations of your own, if you like …

  • Every decision I’ve ever made has led me to an experience that was ‘perfect’ in it’s design for me
  • There are NO MISTAKES in my history of decisions
  • Life corresponds infinitely when you make the ‘right decision’ for you
  • In truth, the outcome I desire can be achieved regardless of the decision made
  • Each new decision opens new avenues and endless possibilities based on the outcome I desire
  • My decisions are wise and I’m confident they will always produce the outcome I desire
  • ‘Making Wrong Decisions and Fear of Failure’ are man-made traps, not truth
  • The freedom to choose is true power and there is no right or wrong decision, except indecision
  • I can just decide, at any time …

I understand that some of these truths might be hard to swallow without further investigation and study.

However, the inability to accept them, doesn’t make them any less true.

Consider this Paradox of Indecision if you ever find yourself ‘stuck’ and not sure which decision to make 🙂

It offers direction, at the very least.
