The Disney Experience

Last weekend, I was on vacation in Orlando, and had the opportunity to go to Universal studios, and the Disney parks as well.

Originally, the plan was to go to Universal because Jackie is a big Harry Potter fan, and I can now say that I am a fan, after my experience watching all the movies, and having been to see Harry Potter world in person.

I’m not a big ‘fanboy’, however, it was really damn real, if you’re into that sort of stuff.

Universal did a great job nailing all kinds of details in Diagon Alley, The Gringotts Bank and The Hogwarts Express, among other attractions.

The Sorting Hat even put me in ‘Slytherin House’, known for being cunning, because, he said, my darkness will bring others light.

And so, I’m now a Dark Wizard 🙂

I had a lot of fun and it hit an emotional place in me.

It’s something I can share as a great experience.

Originally, while Universal was in the plans, Disney was not.

We were going to hit Universal, the pool, etc, and relax for a few days, and then come home.

I happened to mention to one of my students that I was down here, and I knew she was a big Disney fan, because she takes her family to the all the parks and they really enjoy it.

I asked her if she had any insight on some pocket friendly tickets, as, I knew Disney was going to ‘get theirs’ in some way, no worries.

What came next was amazing, as my student was able to grab some complimentary tickets for us, and so, we were going to Disney!!!

When I went to London a few years back, this same student had introduced me to a wonderful woman, and family, across the pond, and they too are HUGE Disney fans (they all met in a Disney Group online).

I reached out to her as well to see if she had any insight on how to make the experience even more fun, because her daughters have both worked at Disney, they visit them often, and man did she let me have the goods.

We decided to go to Animal Kingdom, because … animals … YEAH!!!

And maybe even Magic Kingdom, because … magic … YEAH!!!

So, we were told to go to the Right of Passage ride, in Pandora world, from the movie Avatar, which was in Animal Kingdom.

The wait was like over 2 hours … so we went looking at all the other animals, hit some of the other rides including a coaster near Mt. Everest, and even went on the Safari, which was really cool to see the animals, even if briefly.

Since we had heard such good things about this ride, we decided to wait the 2 hours, because unfortunately, we were unable to book ‘FastPasses’ for this ride.

It was worth it … go.

FastPasses, which if booked in advance, sometimes on the day of if a cancel happens, can get you access to a ride faster at certain time intervals and was just one, among so many other amazing details, making your experience very autonomous and enjoyable.

Every person in the park greets you.

They communicate with you and want to understand your needs, so you can have the best experience.

And truthfully, though I can’t say I run my business like Disney, yet, I do learn from them.

They know what people want, because they vote with their credit cards.

The best Disney movies seemed to be the ones with attractions … not a coincidence.

I want to know if the communications or attractions we have, lol, are valuable and not a waste of your time?

Is there something else you’d like more of, or less of, because the truth is, I write these from my experience, with the hope you’ll gleen something from it worthwhile that you can apply right away.

And while I’m happy to write the Top Ten Exercise List, or whatever else you want, I know I get the biggest response, or votes, when I write like I speak, from the heart.

The poem I wrote a few weeks back, in Hip Hop form, got more responses than almost anything I’ve ever sent out.

I wrote that in 15 minutes, no research, all John.

Walt Disney shared his love for Animation, and it morphed into this thing.

I share my Love for Health, and it’s morphing into things like my poem.

Would you you reply and let me know how can I serve you best?

I’m really interested to know what you need in order to reach your goals.

Look forward to your response!

Be Well – John
