I got some great answers to the question of whether people valued their health, or their wealth, more.
Of course most picked health, however, I had one response that stuck out from one of my deep thinking readers.
He said …
“What if you were to change what the Commonly accepted definition of what wealth is?
To include your health, & your tribes health as huge indicators of wealth.
Making the prioritization of health, and the knowledge of how to build, maintain, and boost it the biggest indicator of wealth.”

I told him I’d be quite wealthy if I could change that definition, which in fact, is what I am working on …
And now with our Health being thrust into the spotlight with how to ‘not get sick’ while staying home, the other side of the equation is, what if you have to work and need the health?
Case in point, Jackie came home last night and she wanted to workout.
She’s not normally into ‘what I do’, things like hoisting weights and movement stuff 🙂
She likes Yoga, Barre and Pilates, which is totally fine, I don’t judge.
The thing that triggered that comment last night was the fact that she had to hold up half of a dying dog that weighed 80lbs, so the owner could say goodbye, before she took the dog into the Vet hospital (no people allowed inside) to euthanize this woman’s dog.
She said “John, that was heavy”
I knew she meant more than just the dog’s weight … but mostly the weight.
She’s seeing that physical strength can help at her job, which is her way to ‘create material wealth’, while also realizing that physical strength connects to her emotional health, the red-headed stepchild of wealth, as it were.
Think about it this way.
If her body is physically stronger, to be able to hold that dog up without the weight of the dog registering discomfort in her brain, letting that woman cope and have her moment, then take the dog inside without expending as much physical energy bracing against the dog’s weight, and rather, diverting it towards emotional output, it allows her to continue being the amazing doctor she is, for longer, without HER breaking down.
That would make her more money for sure, right?
So basically it’s: YOU Get Stronger + Teach Others HOW = Wealth
Eh?
Be Well – John

Some of the greatest insights and healing for me, have come from listening to podcasts in the last few years. This long-form type of communication, I’ve found, has been extremely important for understanding context, while learning how to make sustainable change.
That’s why I have started to find ways to get our story on some podcasts, and give you an opportunity to really go deep with us, and see what we’re all about.
